Fine Line Rescuer: Home remedies Approach

Some little tricks that you could maintain as a habit to keep your fine lines away.

1) Cool water as rinsing water
Cool water, within 18-21 degree Celsius, can prevent swelling of blood capillaries, reduce blood flow, minimize pore and firming. Thus, your skin will look pale and whiten.

2) Stay with fan rather than air-condition
Air conditioning room no doubt cause dehydration on our skin, and form dry lines to promote our skin age faster. Stay at air condition room up to 4-5 hours considered moderate serious and efficient enough to cause dryness. Office ladies, retailing workers who always stayed at air conditioning indoors will face dehydration, remember to focus personal cares (skin cares and body cares) with proper hydrating and moisturizing purposes to restore back moisture loss.

3) Proper sleeping position
Avoid lateral sleeping positions like Log, Yearner, Freefaller and Thinker. These positions will suppress your face to pillow and cause skin folding and form fine lines. Else you use silk pillow to prevent this. Or change your sleeping position to Soldier or Starfish.

Diet & Nutrition
1) Essential fatty acid (EFA)
Essential fatty acid could provide the building blocks of healthy skin, playing a significant role in the structure of every cell and cell function.
Udo's oil, flax oil, olive oil, fish oil, herp seal oil

2) antioxidants
assist in skin repair and the strengthening of blood vessels, enhances skin's natural process of collagen synthesis, providing amazing free-radical protection.
Vitamin C, resveratrol & OPC (grapes)

3) proteins & amino acids
contribute to your beauty in terms of fitness and moist skin, involved in collagen production for skin elasticity and texture.
amino acids supplements, collagen, yogurt/kefir

Beauty Food:Flax oil Cottage Cheese Diet

Flax oil cottage cheese diet is the essential discovery of Dr Johanna Budwig (a German biochemistry pioneer with seven-times Nobel Prize nominee) for cancer patients. Wait, don't just focus on how this diet help in cancers, in my blog, i link everything related to beauty and good skin, including Budwig's diet. Let me introduce how this beauty food could help aging, dry skin with wrinkles as well as other skin disorders such as eczema skin, rosacea or acne. Of course, anyone who require smooth skin appearance are encouraged to follow this diet too.

Flaxseed oil (or flax oil) not only reduces inflammation in body including skin, lowers cholesterol, but also improve cell renewal. Science has proven that fats play an important role in the functioning of the entire body, and are vital for all growth processing, brain and nerve functions. Our energy resources are based on lipid metabolism. To function efficiently, cells require true polyunsaturated, live electron-rich lipids, present in abundance in raw flaxseed oil.

Flax oil could be definitely consumed alone, but it is even better if you blend it with cottage cheese. Flax oil is only water-soluble and free-flowing when bound to protein; thus the importance of protein-rich cottage cheese. When high quality, electron-rich flax oil are combined with proteins to form water soluble, easily to be absorbed lipoproteins, the electrons are protected until the body requires energy. This energy source is then fully and immediately available to the body on demand, as nature intended.

After my explanation, i guess you are eager to know how to prepare flax oil cottage cheese diet. For the most benefit, serve this as your breakfast and prepare only enough for one meal and consume immediately. Use organic foods if possible.

Purchase an organic, cold press, unadulterated flax oil, preferably Barlean's, whynot? brand. High lignan version flax oil is not recommended, normal one can work efficiently on human body. You have to chill them in refrigerator all the time to maintain freshness. Blend 3 tablespoons of flaxseed oil with 6 tablespoons of low-fat cottage cheese/yogurt with a hand-held immersion electric mixer for 30 to 60 seconds. Bonding the oil & cheese is important in order for it to be assimilated into the body fully. The mixture should be like rich whipped cream with no separated oil.

Next, you can choose stir the mixture with milk, freshly ground flaxseed, fruits (phytonutrient-rich berry, apple, peach, banana), nuts (walnut, almond or brazil nuts are recommended, no peanut), honey and raisin. Sprinkle with cinnamon powder, dark cocoa powder or vanilla according to your preference. Now, it's time to serve it. Trust me, it's yummy and delicious. philosophy

Fine Line Rescuer:Cosmetology Approach

There is variety of cosmetic treatments to lighten fine lines depends on different mechanisms, how serious they are. Each of them has its own pro and con, choose it based on circumstances and suitability of individual. Once again, i emphasize that if you choose any in-depth cosmetic surgical/nonsurgical treatment, always get consultation from a doctor or dermatologist.

IPL (Intense Pulse Light)
IPL uses sophisticate technology (xenon flash lamp and optical prisms or filters) to instantly vaporize damaged cells placed deeper in the skin without harming the surrounding tissue or the top skin in order to dissolve and destroy the unwanted skin cells, and promote the growth of new skin cells in the targeted area. Diminishing fine lines by "filling" the skin from the inside out with new skin cells, after the old "zapped" cells have been destroyed and replaced, also requires multiple sessions, which vary in length and quantity. However, the final results of IPL can last one to two years. The side effects of IPL are very limited. On occasion some slight swelling and redness may occur. It's recommended that patients undergoing IPL therapy, avoid direct sunlight for 30 days before and after their treatment.

Laser Skin Tightening
Laser skin tightening is non-invasive procedure that helps tighten and contour your skin in a single treatment. Instead, it stimulates skin's natural renewal of collagen, which creates subtle, natural looking results on and off the face. It could last for 2 years and above.

Hyaluronic acid injection
Hyaluronic acid injections can be used as a dermal filler to improve the skin's contour and reduce depressions in the skin due to scars, injury or lines. Injection method used depends on the doctor but will be either the serial intradermal puncture technique (series of small injections with a very fine needle) or tunnel or threading technique (needle is withdrawn as the hyaluronic acid is injected). Hyaluronic acid implantation is not permanent. Like natural hyaluronic acid, manufactured hyaluronic acid once injected into the skin will gradually break down and be absorbed by the body. In most cases, the augmentation usually lasts anywhere 10 months. To maintain the initial results, repeat treatments or top-up treatments will be necessary.

Botox Injection
This treatment is suitable when fine lines become wrinkles and it could last for 6 months. Botox blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle can no longer contract, which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften. It is most often used on forehead lines, crow's feet (lines around the eye) and frown lines, but not work for wrinkles caused by sun damage and gravity.
The procedure takes only a few minutes and no anesthesia is required. Botox is injected with a fine needle into specific muscles with only minor discomfort. It generally takes three to seven days to take full effect and it is best to avoid alcohol at least one week prior to treatment. Aspirin and anti-inflammatory medications should be stopped two weeks before treatment as well in order to reduce bruising. Botox could last for 3 to 6 months, some even could last for 8 months.
Ionosonic Transdermal Delivery Intensive Treatment
A skin beautification system comprising an iontophoresis device, an infrared (including far infrared) generator, an ultrasonic vibrator, and a cosmetic composition is disclosed. The system ensures effective action of moisturizing and whitening cosmetics by enhancing penetration of specific cosmetic components. By specifying the type of cosmetic to be used, the system can improve dry skin and aging skin, and also can decompose and remove melanin. Moisturizing and/or whitening cosmetic components such as L-ascorbic acid, peptides, epidermal growth factor are applied to the face or skin or impregnated in a skin contact member section, following which iontophoresis high frequency vibration is applied to the skin for a period of time using an ultrasonic vibrator.

Skincare Myth: Face serum Apply on eye area

“Ya, you should buy this eye cream and face serum, use them separately for eye area and face. Face serum cannot apply on eye area."

That's what counter girls or beauty advisors often persuade us to buy when we questioned about whether face serum could apply on both face and eye area. Of course, BA would hope you buy both items, if can whole set even best, usually they will point you to apply face serum on face, and persuade you buy another eye cream.

You don't need to waste such money to buy similar thing unless the eye cream is targeted for certain functions. Let's say eye puffiness, wrinkles or dark eye circles.

Face serum can hydrate, sooth fine lines, likes what eye cream does the same. You can save your budget just to buy a good quality face serum and skip common hydrating eye cream. There is no way for you to spend more to get the same effects, you could invest the money to some other skin care products.

Today you learn a new info. Just keep it & treasure it.

Skincare Myth:Store skincare in Fridge

Some may ask, is it alright to store skin cares in refrigerator/chiller? Will quality improve when we keep them in lower temperature? Well, i store essences, masks and toners in a mini chiller.

Yes, i admit that certain skin cares are advisable to store in refrigerator, but not all items. You could store toner, serum, masks (gel/cream based or paper mask), it is not only contribute cooling & refreshing sensation to your skin upon application, but also will slightly minimize pores. The purpose of storing skin cares in low temperature will also help to extend shelf life of skin cares. Bacteria grow in lower rate below 10 degree Celsius, lipid oxidation rate of cream/oil will be affected by low temperature as well. As long as you take out of fridge, and put them back immediately after usage, you don't have to worry about temperature shock will affect the quality of products.

There is no such statements claimed that store products in refrigerator will let free radicals produced by fridge cause degradation of skin cares and thus affect the quality of them. Everybody use fluorine free refrigerator in this modern era, unless you are still using old fashioned refrigerator containing fluorine, then it may be a risk of a free radicals polluted your skin cares, and your food!

However, not all skin cares items are suitable to be kept in fridge. Cleansing gel is not suitable, because low temperature will affect its foamibility when you lather them, it tends to produce less foam, unless you mix them with warm water. In addition, clay mask easy to harden at lower temperature; face cream/moisturizers are not advisable to keep in refrigerator for it will affect penetration to epidermic skin upon application, unless you rub them or cover with palm to warm it prior to putting them on your skin.

I know you already know what to do next.

Skincare Myth:Whitening Skincare in Full range

"Yes, you should buy whole set instead of one or two bottles for maximum result. Whitening require complete care from A to Z." from counter girls or beauty advisors.

Not necessary, i can say. The main concern is whitening ingredients and concentration upon purchase. Cleanser & toner could be an optional, due to their limited concentrations. Plus, cleanser only stay on skin for 1,2 minutes, there is no time for whitening ingredients to penetrate skin as quickly as you imagine. Unless the whitening cleanser formulated by foaming agents suitable for your skin, then you could consider it. If your budget is limited, just go for serum/essence for it is often highest in concentration among the whole range.

Of course, you have to concern about skin conditions and whitening effect, if acne prone skin or oily skin wish to whiten their skin, just apply whitening essence in their daily skincare regimen. If dry, mature skin or pigmented, perhaps, besides whitening essence, nourishing face moisturizer is perfect to enhance the whitening effectiveness.

Tips: if you want to improve the whitening effect, you could apply skincare with fruit acids content. Fruit acids not only exfoliate dead skin cell, but also enhance penetration of whitening compounds, breakdown melanin to lighten skin significantly. However, fruit acid concentration, frequency of treatment is based on your skin types, dry skin which have lower water content of skin cells could be more frequent for their skin produce more dead skin cell than oily skin. Last but not least, don't forget about proper sun protection to reduce the melanin formation.

Skincare Myth:Young vs Anti-aging skincares

"Don't use anti-aging skincares when you are still young, it is not suitable for youth skin because if you start using them in early 20's age, your skin will immune against anti-aging skincares and you will find no effect on any anti-aging skincares during middle age".

Sound familiar, huh? I bet you should hear it from somewhere. Today science & technology give promising effects to keep us look youth and radiant, 10 years younger than exact age is no longer a dream/myth. If you start using anti-aging skincares, you don't need to worry about after 10,20 years, no more anti-aging skincares you can use. As i said, beauty industry is trillion dollar industry, more products with emerging latest technology are approaching us, the problem you have is too much choices to be chosen.

Undoubtedly, most anti-aging skincares are oil based, especially moisturizer, which give burden to oily skin and combination skin that more sebum secretion than normal/dry skin. However, if you are exposed under high risk of aging factors, no matter intrinsic or extrinsic factors, it is advisable you start to introduce anti-aging skincares in your daily skincare regimen as early as 19 (or not late than 25 years old). Just have a kick start by using serum prior to light-weight moisturizer as first step.

Just give you some hints, latest anti-aging technology always predominated in USA and Europe, they are pioneered in anti-aging technology, perhaps Caucasians are always easier to age compare with Asians. You could consider skincares brands originated from both US and Europe.
